COMMENTARY
This reunion is for families related to the Montes Family from San Elizario, Texas. Some of the names that are part of the Montes Family, directly and indirectly, are Garcia, Madrid, Avina, Palafox, Cobos, Salazar, Alarcon, Rey, Aranda, Alderete, Skaggs, Grijalva, Escajeda and Caballero. Some family names may have been inadvertently left out. Please feel free to attend if you are in anyway related to the Montes Family. We are looking forward to receiving all family members with love and affection for this historic celebration.

  The Cost For The Reunion Is As Follows:  
    Adults $75.00  
    Kids Under 12 $50.00  
       
* This cost covers two dinners (Friday and Saturday), one lunch (Saturday), transportation (to and from San Elizario) and incidentals such as, badges, tables and chairs, music, flyers, etc.  
       
  Note: Regarding transportation: Coaches will be available daily (From hotel to San Elizario and return as needed).

    Prices not including taxes (tax 15.5% per day):
    Standard Rooms: Two full size beds or 1 king $79.00
    Suites: One King, One Full Size Couch $89.00
    Suites on 4 th floor: Same as above with private buffet $99.00
       
  Note:
The suites have a parlor, wet bar, fridge, sofa bed, king bed, two televisions, two telephones and options for Internet. Some suites offer Jacuzzis or whirlpool baths, stereos and VCR’s. All rooms have blow dryers, irons, ironing boards and coffee makers.
 
   
  • Also available are smoking and non-smoking rooms.
  • Guests also receive plated breakfast at Magnims Restaurant until 11 AM if reservations are made using the Bounce Back Weekend Package.
  • Canarozzo’s Restaurant, also in the hotel, offers the finest in Northern Italian Cuisine and is very cozy and quite elegant.
  • The Hotel also has a health club, the large heated pool, kiddie pool, 200’ water slide (called the Texas Twister) and a Cabana Bar and Grill. The food at the Cabana bar and grill is reasonably priced. Please note that guests are not allowed to bring food outside to these areas.
  • The Hilton provides free shuttle to and from airport.
 
T-SHIRTS  
    The cost for each t-shirt is $10.00.  
   
  • The t-shirts are white with navy blue imprint. The imprint will have the Montes Family Crest imprinted on the front side with the words, Montes Reunion, above the crest and the words, Labor Day Weekend 2004, below the crest.
  • Please order t-shirts by July 15, 2004. Include $10.00 for each t-shirt ordered. This can be added to the reunion cost.
  • Please include required sizes.
  • The t-shirts can be worn on Saturday, the day of the tour in San Elizario, if anyone wishes to do so.

Kathleen "Kat" Avina will be collecting photos of Telesforo Montes I descendants for display at the reunion.

FOUNDERS DAY LUNCHEON  
  Please include with RSVP if you wish to attend the luncheon in San Elizario on Sunday so that proper transportation can be arranged.  
   
  • Remember that this luncheon is not part of the reunion package. The cost for lunch is approximately $7.00 per person.
  • Activities are scheduled to start around 1 PM. This event is a San Elizario Community affair held at the San Elizario High School and speakers will tell about the old days in San Elizario.
  • Everyone is invited and welcome to speak.
  
DANCE  
  The dance will follow dinner on Saturday night. A Disc Jockey (DJ) will provide the music.  
   
  • The DJ will play as many requests as possible.
  • Write or e-mail Teri (Montes) Clapper for any special musical requests.
  • Note: The DJ is quite versatile and will provide a wide variety of music.
